Our Mission

At Shan Science, our mission is simple: to make science accessible, engaging, and enjoyable for every student. We believe that with the right guidance, every student can build confidence, deepen their understanding, and achieve their best results in IGCSE and GCSE sciences—while actually enjoying the learning process.

My Story

I’m Nirujan Shanmugavadivel, Head of Chemistry with over six years of teaching experience and a Pearson Edexcel and AQA Examiner. I started this business frustrated by classrooms where students were being left behind and science felt boring or overwhelming.

At Shan Science, I make learning relatable and memorable—using examples from tv shows & anime, the occasional joke, and examiner insights to give students exactly what they need to succeed. Our one-to-one approach ensures every lesson is personalised, helping students build confidence, progress at their own pace, and develop a genuine passion for science—not just pass exams.
